AER is “Soldiers Helping Soldiers” in times of unexpected, unplanned, unanticipated emergency. The AER Office provides emergency financial assistance to Soldiers, both active and retired, and to Reservists and Guard activated under Title 10 for 30 days or more. That assistance extends to their Family Members, with the Soldier’s consent, and also to Widows and Orphans.
Assistance is evaluated on a case by case basis but all should conform to the governing regulation which is AR 930-4. AER will consider cases in the following areas:
- Non-Receipt of Pay
- Loss of Funds
- Medical, Dental and Hospital expenses
- Funeral Expenses
- Emergency Travel Expenses
- POV Repair and Maintenance

Please bring your supporting documentation of the emergency.
Eligibility: Must be on full time deployment or recently returned from deployment to a combat zone or homeland security position.
