What is MWR
Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) is a comprehensive network of support and leisure services designed to enhance the lives of soldiers (Active, Reserve, and Guard), their families, civilian employees, military retirees and other eligible participants. MWR employees strive to deliver the highest quality programs and services -- from sports programs to child care to special events.
Here on Fort Meade, Army Family and MWR supports all branches of military service. FMWR contributes to the military’s strength and readiness by offering services that reduce stress, build skills, and self-confidence and foster strong espirit-de-corps.
Family and MWR on Fort Meade is a subset of The U.S. Army Family and MWR Command, the Army's headquarters for Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation programs.
