Welcome to Fort Meade Family Pet Care Center.
Our small, but pet-friendly, facility can accommodate 48 dogs and 11 cats. The “condo-like” quarters will make this “Your pet’s home away from home.” The grassy areas are fenced and dig-proof. We have access to veterinarian 24 hours a day.
Our commitment to you is
to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your pet. All pets will receive an entry level exam upon arrival. Animals with fleas will be required to have a bath, at the owner’s expense, prior to admission. Owners will also be asked to provide a current record of vaccinations. Signs of existing injury, lameness, or illness will be noted. Any pet with a suspicious illness or symptom will be admitted only after an examination and a written consent of a veterinarian.

BOARDING
Dogs:
Each indoor/outdoor dog run is climate controlled by a 24 hour heating and cooling system. All runs are constructed with aluminum bars rather than chain link fencing to minimize the potential for injury. Each run is equipped with an automatic water dispenser to ensure that your pet’s thirst is always quenched. While they are in our care, your dog will be fed a high quality diet regiment. However, owners have the option to bring the food their pet prefers. If extra preparation is required--such as heating, grinding, or cooking— an additional fee will be charged.
All food and medication brought in must be in a sealed plastic box.
Dogs must be at least 4 months old to board. Females in heat are not allowed to board.
Cats:
Each feline friend will have a roomy ‘kitty condo’ all to themselves. Owners have the option of expanding the condo’s size. There are two large windows for sunbathing. Bird feeders are positioned outside the windows to provide entertainment.
Females in heat are not allowed to board. Unaltered male cats are not allowed to board.
All boarding reservations require either a Visa or MasterCard to hold the reservation. Any cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the reservation or else 2 nights of boarding per pet will be owed. This applies to "no shows" as well.

Your dog will go out and play for at least 10 minutes with our pet center staff. They have their choice of balls, frisbees or other toys or you may bring their favorite toy.
Emergency Veterinary Services – billed by vet, plus $10 transportation fee billed by Pet Care Center.
DAY CARE
‘Doggie’ daycare can solve the problems resulting from separation anxiety or it can be just the outlet to release your pet’s excessive, pent-up energy. It’s an opportunity to provide additional exercise and socialization with other pets. Each animal will have scheduled playtimes and will be served a snack during its stay. Call for current hours.

GROOMING
We offer a variety of grooming services for dogs and cats from full service grooming of most breeds to on premise. On premise is a do-it-yourself pet wash -- owners bring the shampoo and brushes. The Center will provide the rest—the drying station and towels, etc., or the staff can wash your pet for a fee. The pet wash and grooming services are by appointment only. Call for availability and pricing.

In kennel training is provided for $130.00.
Pet Supply
The Fort Meade Pet Care Center will have a variety of quality pet supplies that are not available at the large, big-box pet centers. Snacks, toys, shampoos, collars, and leashes are just a sampling of our product mix. If there is an item that we do not carry, let us know. We will special order it for you.

Bordetella, Rabies, Distemper. Fecal Exams must be done every 90 days for dogs. We need to see the results of the test. Dogs testing positive will not be able to use services.Cats
